Executive Team

Victor Huang is Airship AI’s Chief Executive Officer (since April 2007) and Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Huang was Airship AI’s very first employee, joining in 2004 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2005. He brings experience as an investor, executive, and is one of Airship AI’s largest shareholders.

Before joining Airship AI, Mr. Huang was an independent trader. He also spent time working at Smith Barney as a financial consultant.

Mr. Huang attended the University of Washington, where he studied business administration.

Derek Xu is an Airship AI co-founder. He has served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (since March 2022), and is on the Board of Directors.

Mr. Xu has also spent time as Airship AI’s Chief Technology Officer. He brings experience as an investor, director, COO, and is one of Airship AI’s largest shareholders.

Before co-founding Airship AI in 2003, Mr. Xu co-founded a Web service company, providing eCommerce solutions for small businesses. He has also held leadership positions at various tech companies, helping launch web-based products for financial institutions.

Mr. Xu holds a Ph. D. in Geophysics from the University of Washington.

Mr. Scott has served as a consultant and Chief Financial Officer for Valterra Partners LLC, a private equity firm, from 2017 to 2024. Mr. Scott also served as a consultant and Chief Financial Officer of Valuto, Inc., a bitcoin kiosk company, from January 2021 to November 2021. Mr. Scott served as a Consultant and Chief Financial Officer from August 2014 to December 2020 of GrowLife, Inc., an equipment supplier to the cultivation industry. Mr. Scott also served as a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of GrowLife, Inc. February 2017 to December 2020.

Paul Allen is Airship AI’s President (since 2019).

In previous roles with Airship AI, Mr. Allen has served as Vice President of Sales and as Director of Business Development.

Before joining Airship AI, Mr. Allen was a partner at a boutique firm in Northern Virginia which provided technical goods to the U.S. Government, moving on after a successful private acquisition. He also spent 14 years with IBM as a Business Unit Executive.

Mr. Allen retired from the U.S. Army 1st Special Forces Command in 2021 with over 28 years of service, the majority of which he spent in the U.S. Army Special Forces as a Green Beret.

Yanda Ma is Airship AI’s Chief Technology Officer (since March 2022).

Mr. Ma previously served as Airship AI’s Vice President of Engineering. He has developed multiple evolutions of company products including introducing Airship Enterprise Management and delivering innovative edge solutions such as Nexus Outpost.

With more than twenty years of technology leadership in the streaming video and security industries, he has been awarded multiple patents for key technologies.

Mr. Ma holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the University of California, Berkeley.
